FATHER'S DAY FUN FACTS

We’re celebrating dads this month – June 19th to be exact. Father’s Day is designated the 3rd Sunday of every June, which became official in the year 1966 when President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential proclamation.

Interestingly, while the 3rd Sunday of June isn’t always the 19th, the first Father’s Day was celebrated on that very day in 1910.

While a tie is the most popular and traditional gift, maybe this year Dad would love the gift of home improvement that he doesn’t have to do himself – such as a newly painted work-from-home office or garage? It’s quite a leap, but we’re just thinking outside of the box here…

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | Main Line Home Multi-room Interior Paint Update

We recently completed a multi-room transformation in this Main Line neighbor’s home. If you have considered updating one or more rooms in your house, the benefits of updating several rooms at once include 1.) less overall down time while the areas are being redone and 2.) being able to keep your room spaces cohesive and on trend together.

For this particular customer, having a professional paint job was a first. DIY paint updates and years of wear and tear left this home with old wallpaper, peeling paint, damaged drywall, and cracked ceilings, so it was time for a new look!

Our expert color consultants at LAD Interior Design helped this customer find a modern scheme to work with, which included Sherwin-Williams’s Austere Gray, Languid Blue, Niebla Azul, and Aloof Gray. This exciting new palette proved to be just the beginning and inspired the homeowner to pursue additional updates to further accentuate the transformation. She shared with us, "Treating" ourselves to the first professional painting job we have ever undertaken turns out to be the best decision we've made in a long time - and it has inspired us to continue to treat ourselves with "new" and refreshed projects: furniture, flooring, and even a re-thinking of how to use our space for the way we currently live in it.”

We were happy to provide this neighbor an exciting new look and feel within their home, and thrilled to receive her kind, 5-star review of our work and team on Google.

"I wanted to get this review posted, even before I'm able to buy the furniture that will honor the exceptional job that Mike and his extremely responsive and professional team performed at my house. (20 year-old worn and faded couches do not fit that bill!) I will post the photo later, because I'd like all those considering Mike as their painting contractor to understand the level of excellence he attains with his wonderful staff. My home had never been professionally painted, and Mike and his team addressed every layer of old wallpaper, old paint, damaged drywall and cracked ceilings we had lived with for too long. I even asked them to paint a large fireplace and mirror, and the outcome is jaw-dropping. Every staff member was on time, polite, hard-working and responsive to last-minute requests. I can't say enough good things about Mike and his team.”
